Things to do this week July 13-16th

Wednesday
  • In McCarren park watch "Wayne's World" on the summerscreen from 7-10pm
  • Socrates Sculpture Park watch "Who Wants to Kill Jessie" from 7-10pm
  • In Central park at Tavern on the Green they are showing a screening of "mad Hot Ballroom" at 7:30pm
  • At Pier 63 on the Hudson they are showing "Easy A"
  • At Pier I on the Hudson they are showing "The Invisible Man"
  • The Metropolitan Opera Summer Series is at Brooklyn Bridge Park tonight. The show starts at 7pm.
  • New York Classical Theater presents a free performance of "Henry V" in the Park. This event will take place in Battery Park and then move to Governors Island
Thursday
  • Stop by with your lunch for Broadway in Bryant Park from 12:30-1:30pm. See Chicago, Million Dollar Quartet, Catch Me If You Can, and Newsical!
  • Syfy Movies with A View at Brooklyn Bridge Park presents "Ghost Busters" at 6-11pm
  • Pomonok Park in Queens is showing "Mega Mind" at 8:15pm
  • Target First Thursdays at the Lincoln Center. Tonight enjoy The Mariinsky Theater's "The Enchanted Wanderer". Begins are 8:30pm
  •  Tug and Barge Week begins today. This is sponsored by The Waterfront Museum and Tug Pegasus Preservation Project. From July 14th to July 25th they will be putting on a events and offering free tugboat trips and free barge tours to the public.
Friday
  • Bellevue South Park in Manhattan is showing "Spiderman" at 8:15pm
  • At Pier 46 on the Hudson they are showing "Despicable Me" at 8:30pm
  • At Pier I the Films on the Green Festival is showing "My Father's Glory" at 8:30pm
Saturday
  • The Village Voice 4 Knots Music Festival is being held at South Street Seaport pier 17 from 1-8pm. All ages are welcome to attend and the event will be held rain or shine.
  •  City of Water Day is hosted by the Metropolitan Waterfront Alliance as a way to celebrate the potential for the waterfront. Activities will take place at Governors Island, Liberty State Park in New Jersey, and in your neighborhood. This is a family friendly event and its free! Go check it out and enjoy a beautiful Saturday on the water :)
  •  El Museo Block Party from 4-8pm as a part of the Target free third Saturdays program
